Southern cooks often use citrus to enhance flavor. This cool, creamy, lime dip is best with fresh fruit, such as strawberries, pineapples, papaya, kiwi and melon.

Ingredients:

8 ounces cream cheese,, at room temperature
1/2 cup plain low fat yogurt
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons low fat (1% fat) milk
1 tablespoon line juice
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon ground mace or nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon grated lime rind

Directions:

In a small bowl, with an electric mixer on high, beat the cream cheese, yogurt, honey, milk, lime juice, vanilla, and mace until creamy. Stir in the lime rind. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (good for 2 days). Serve the dip with an assortment of fresh fruits, Makes about 1 cup.
