This tasty favourite hot and spicy dish is cooked in fresh herbs with lots of onions, tomato, green chillies and capsicum (pepper). Jalfrezi is currently enjoying much popularity in the Indian restaurants.

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons Oil
4 Fresh green chillies ( deseeded and sliced lengthwise)
2 Garlic cloves, crushed and finely chopped
1 teaspoon Special Spice Mixture
1 teaspoon Chilli powder
1 pinch Salt
4 tablespoons Basic Curry Sauce
1/2 Red pepper (roughly chopped)
1 Small onion (roughly chopped)
1 Tomato (quartered and deseeded)
2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
1 portion Chicken (pre cooked)



Directions:


Heat the oil, add the sliced green chillies and garlic. After thirty seconds, or so, add the special spice mixture, chilli powder and salt. Stir fry for ten seconds or so.

Add the basic curry sauce and allow to cook on a medium heat for one minute. Add the pepper and onion, stir fry for thirty seconds.

Add the cooked chicken and after one minute add the quartered tomato and coriander leaves. Allow the chicken to heat thoroughly. Add the lemon juice and serve.
